Help baby Havyn

Donation protected
In  November of 2018 Miranda Diller & Caden Baxter found out that they were expecting a child. Shortly thereafter in January of 2019 they made the move from North Dakota to Indiana as the job opportunities there were better for a growing family. At a check-up in January they found out that little baby girl Havyn's genetic screening came back with a high risk of down syndrome. During February at 16 weeks along they went to an ultrasound they found out her chance of having down syndrome was much higher again due to the number of down syndrome markers on the ultrasound, and that she also had a hole in her heart. They also found out that they would need to deliver in a bigger hospital in Cincinnati order for baby girl to have the best chance at survival.

Yesterday in Cincinnati they had an MRI and an fetal echo. At the fetal echo they saw her AV septal defect were told that her left ventricle is very small and she has a leak on her right side. The term they were given is a Complete Unbalanced AtrioVentricular Septal Defect with left sided Hypoplasia and moderate Atrioventricular valve Regurgitation. They declined to do the amniocentesis, so they can’t be 100% sure that she does have Down Syndrome, however, she will need 3 surgeries after birth. The first one will be 7-10 days after birth, the 2nd is 4-6 months after birth, the third is at 3 years. The mortality rate especially for her first surgery is 5-10%, with down syndrome it doubles.

They want Caden & Miranda to be relocated to Cincinnati by 36 weeks. (In 2.5 weeks). Until then they have to travel to Cincinnati (3 hours away) every Monday & Thursday. After her first surgery, her recovery time is 1 month in the NICU, longer if she has Down syndrome.

During this difficult and stressful time they are going to need somewhere to stay, as well as gas money. We have contacted the Ronald McDonald house and that a least is a 33 day wait. Miranda is unable to work due to the baby's already delicate situation. They are going to need all the love and support possible. I know little Havyn is a fighter just like her Momma. Anything you can do to help would be greatly appreciated.
