My name is Pamela Contreras, I'm from Angleton TX and the owner of Country Grove Gardens Plant Nursery also in Angleton.

I have created this fund to help my Aunt Candice, age 75, who lost her home and vehicle during the massive river flood in Texas Hill Country on 07/06/25.

At 3:30 am on 07/06/25, my Aunt Candice awoke to her RV (which is her home) flooding as it was being dragged across her pasture towards the river. She climbed on top of the pull-out section of the RV and hung on until daylight as it rained. Fortunately, the RV stabilizers got hung up in a barbed wire fence and the RV didn't make it into the river, but it fell over onto its side. Thankfully, she survived the harrowing event.

Her truck wasn't so lucky and it ended up a mile down in the river, covered in debris.

We are raising money to help with unexpected financial needs during this time of displacement. These expenses will include food, cost of temporary housing, car rental, and the replacement of basic human needs. Any funds raised above what is needed for the items above will be used to help with repairs to her RV and car that will not be covered by insurance. Her insurance said they will not cover much of what was inside the RV.
