Help Annsofi #TearTheTape and Fight Workplace Injustice

Donazione protetta
Hi, my name is Annsofi Thunholm.

There was a time when I had to leave a workplace under circumstances I neither expected nor fully understood. It left me shaken — professionally and personally. But when I quietly began to share parts of my experience, something surprising happened: people responded. They opened up about their own stories.
And I realized: I wasn’t the only one.

I met others — and began helping
Over time, through the stories I heard and the support I gave, I started seeing certain patterns — patterns I could recognize from so many workplaces.
I began to support others. It started with conversations, strategic advice, and emotional support and guidance — and it became my mission.

For over two years, through my advisory service SNAFU Rescue Advisors, I’ve helped people facing toxic work environments, manipulation, and workplace trauma. I offer hands-on, tactical support: how to act professionally, avoid traps, protect yourself legally and emotionally — and ultimately reclaim your dignity.

And there’s a pattern. Skilled, driven, conscientious people quietly disappear from workplaces. Not because they failed — but because they disrupted something. They're nudged out, sidelined, threatened, broken down, and ultimately forced to leave — often through questionable practices. And it all happens in silence, with passive approval from colleagues, employers, and sometimes even the unions.
Even in Sweden. A country once known for justice and strong labor protections.

As an advisor, I’m the person you call when it’s burning. I become your war room, your strategic partner, your steady hand in chaos. I help people navigate their conflicts, rebuild their self-confidence, and prepare for their next job — not just to make a strong impression, but to analyze future employers and recognize early warning signs of toxicity.

I empower my clients to see through false accusations and understand the hidden agendas behind them — helping them realize that what was said about them often says more about a toxic manager or colleague than it does about them.

And it works. The people I’ve supported go from feeling crushed to feeling empowered, clear, and strong.

Some of the stories I carry with me:

• Johanna – pushed out after reporting workplace harassment and mistreatment.

• Elsa – Fired for knowing too much about illegal and unethical activities within a government agency.

• Joseph – bullied for his expertise and international background and pushed out of a multinational company, excluded and isolated.

Lisette – asked for a meeting with the union when her employer tried to push her out unfairly. But instead of hearing her side, the union contacted the employer directly — without ever speaking to Lisette — and together they decided she had no case.

• Samuel – betrayed by a co-founder who turned hostile and aggressive.

• Charles – a modern, inclusive leader in a conservative industry — targeted by false rumors and gradually pushed out.

• Linda – the only one with the right education and experience — was locked out of her area of expertise and micromanaged by managers and colleagues who used false care as a tactic, pretending to support her while subtly undermining her and making sure she couldn't succeed.

Too many people feel so ashamed and broken after trauma, falling into a darkness where they consider ending their lives.
Even when things don´t go that far, people are often too broken, exhausted, or afraid to speak about it afterwards. They're scared of how others will judge them — and worried that sharing their trauma might harm their chances of getting a new job.

This is a silent crisis — and it must end.

I need your help
I’ve worked full-time without pay for over two years. I’ve emptied my savings, stored away my furniture, and moved in with my parents. I’ve reached out to foundations and investors, but most are focused on AI, climate, or tech — all worthy causes, but justice in the workplace doesn’t seem to fit in.

Now I need your support.

What the funds will be used for
• To continue building a sustainable advisory service with affordable memberships — because support must be accessible when you're financially and emotionally drained. (Membership for private individuals costs only 45 SEK — approx. $5/month — and includes all advisory.)
• To cover installment of my business loan (Almi) and my basic living expenses so I can continue supporting people in crisis — while working to secure B2B executive assignments that will fund the long-term sustainability of this work.

Future goals
• To activate a network of lawyers and experts early in the process supporting members.
• To expand this initiative beyond Sweden — the need is global.

My long-term vision is a financial model where executive clients committed to fighting toxic workplace culture fund the core operation — allowing individuals in distress to receive quality support regardless of income.
Many of the people I’ve helped stay on as supporting members — because they believe in the mission and want others to receive the same help they once did.

This is bigger than individual stories
When employers knowingly break laws, when unions stay silent, and when the system fails — something new is needed. We need to understand workplace conflict beyond just legal terms. We need to look at the psychology, the politics, and the dark sides of human behavior.

Because the world needs strong, skilled people who dare to speak up, support each other, do great work — and stand up for what’s right, even when it’s hard.

That’s what I’m building with SNAFU Rescue Advisors.
And I need your help to keep going.

Join the movement: #TearTheTape
I’ve also launched a public challenge — inspired by the Ice Bucket Challenge — but this one is about breaking the silence around workplace injustice.
It’s called #TearTheTape — and it’s a call to action for anyone who has been silenced, witnessed injustice, supported someone being mistreated, or stayed quiet when they wish they hadn’t.

Make a short video, tag three friends, and donate if you can.
Let’s speak up — for ourselves and for others.
Tear the tape.

❤️ Support the fight for fairness at work
Your contribution allows me to keep helping those who’ve fallen through the cracks — and build a movement for dignity, respect, and safety in the workplace.

Together, we can turn workplace silence into a force for change.
Thank you for reading my story. I hope you’ll be part of it.
