Help Annie Becker

Please help Annie Becker beat cervical cancer and get the care that she needs. Annie had been dealing with an unexplained health complication since the beginning of 2020, but the first week of November, doctors finally discovered a significant tumor and that in the last week has been the cause of her kidneys failing.
Annie is married to David Becker, who has been serving as a missionary for over thirty years. They celebrated their fourth anniversary this past June. A widow and a widower, they found true love a second time and have been working together on the mission field from Lusaka, Zambia. They hope to travel in the next week as they have a very small window to move her to the U.S. Doctors need to do a delicate procedure to allow her kidneys to work without dialysis, which cannot be performed in Lusaka with much success.
Annie has been in good spirits and drawing tremendous strength from our Provider, even encouraging the hospital staff. She is an incredible woman who always goes out of her way to say a kind word, to notice how someone else is doing, and to make sure that they know they are not alone.
The medical staff is working to stabilize her kidney functions at a hospital in Lusaka, Zambia, but the oncologist recommends that she travel to the United States, as the local health system is not able to do the immediate surgery needed on her kidneys and adequately support her condition afterwards.
How can you help?
Annie and David do not have medical insurance in the U.S., and will have to pay for medical procedures out of pocket. The first will be that operation for her kidneys and if all works as planned, several radiation therapies. They also need to get a one-way airfare for them to fly from Zambia to the United States not knowing when they might be able to return home.
Thank you for your generosity!
