Annie has been living with Schizoaffective Disorder since she was 17 — a condition that combines schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. It’s an exhausting and unpredictable battle. She cycles through psychotic, manic, and depressive episodes, often accompanied by suicidal ideation. Yet through it all, she keeps fighting to stay here, to keep creating, to keep living.
After years of trying different medications, therapies, and hospital stays, Annie’s psychiatrist of three years recently told her they’ve run out of options — except for electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), a last-resort treatment that could finally bring her some relief. But the deposit alone is $6,000, and without health insurance or a stable income, it’s completely out of reach.
Annie also needs weekly therapy to help her manage her symptoms, but the cost makes it impossible right now. She’s been forced to ration her life-saving medications just to make them last. No one should have to choose between their mental health and survival.
Annie has always faced her illness with strength and hope, but she can’t do this alone anymore. Every donation, no matter how small, will go directly toward her treatment, medications, and therapy — the care she needs to have a real chance at stability and peace.
If you can, please donate or share her story. Your kindness could help give Annie the chance to truly heal.
