First of all, I want to thank everyone for the prayers that have been sent our way. My mom, Annette Cady, and my stepdad, Victor Cady, lost their home to a fire at 3:30am on March 19th. We are absolutely devastated, especially Annette, Vic, my stepbrothers, and nephews. They lost everything, escaping with only the clothes they were sleeping in—no shoes, no jackets, nothing—while waiting for firefighters to arrive. Thankfully, a neighbor was there to help in those first moments.
A little back story about my mom and stepdad: anyone who knows them knows they would do anything for anyone. They are amazing people who always lend a helping hand when needed. Annette and Victor adopted my three nephews when they were toddlers and have raised them as their own. They’ve kept all the boys in sports and are always involved in the community, taking them to Hornet football games and supporting my little brother Ryder in every sport he wanted to play. It’s so devastating that this has happened to them, and we are not the type to ever ask for anything—we love to give, it’s just who we are.
Right now, it’s Annette, Victor, and the boys who need help. The boys, ages 9, 10, 12, and 18, have lost everything, as have my parents. Please, if you can help them in any way possible, it would mean so much. Thank you again to everyone who has reached out so far. Your kindness and support are deeply appreciated as we try to rebuild.
