Help Anna and Her Family Through AML

My name is Nicole Seifert. I am Anna’s sister-in-law. On December 13th, Anna went in for an appointment for severe anemia. Her doctor called and told her to get to the emergency room that evening. Her hemoglobin level was 5.1 (normal is 12.0-15.0) and she needed a blood transfusion. Anna was transported to the University of Kansas Hospital and will be there for 28 days. She was admitted into the Labor and Delivery unit because she is 18 weeks pregnant. After more blood tests, Anna was diagnosed with AML (Acute Myeloid Leukemia). Anna is immunocompromised, and she is not able to see her 4 boys until she is back home.

My brother works full-time to provide for his family. He wants to be able to put his family first and not have to worry so much about finances and medical bills. They appreciate all the help, kind words, and prayers they have received so far. Anything helps in this scary time as they navigate through this journey with Anna.
