Devastating Fire Destroys Mechanic Shop Resulting in Total Loss – Help Us Rebuild from the Ashes
Dear Friends, Family, and Community Supporters,
I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to share some unfortunate news. On August 23, 2025, at 1:20 am, a catastrophic fire completely ravaged my father’s self-made mechanic shop, Angel’s Trucks Repair Inc., located in Long Beach Wilmington. What started as a small fire quickly escalated into an inferno that left nothing but complete destruction. The entire building, inventory, equipment, customer trucks, and years of hard work were completely lost overnight.
Angel’s Trucks Repair Inc. was founded 10 years ago, and through those years, we have given service to semi-trucks either through general mechanic work, AC, overhauls, tune-ups, etc. For my father, Angel, this was a dream built from scratch, fueled by passion, perseverance, and lots of sacrifice. Now, unfortunately, it’s all gone, and we’re left picking up the pieces.
The fire not only destroyed our physical space but also our livelihoods. Ten employees are left without work, facing uncertainty. Eight customers are left without their semi-trucks. We’ve lost original truck parts (radiators, oil pumps, starters, batteries, oil/fuel filters, O-rings, etc.), our forklift, and two company trucks. Unfortunately, insurance may not cover everything that was lost. We want to rise back up and rebuild, which is why we’re launching this GoFundMe to raise money to:
• Cover immediate needs like temporary relocation and support for our employees.
• Purchase essential equipment and inventory to get back on our feet.
• Pay customers for their total loss trucks.
• Handle any uncovered costs from cleanup and legal fees.
Every donation, no matter how small, will make a real difference in helping us rebuild. If you can’t donate, please share this campaign with your network—your support in spreading the word is just as valuable.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing with us during this incredibly difficult time. Your generosity gives us hope and reminds us that we’re not alone.
With deepest gratitude,
Angel G Perez(jr) and Angel Perez, owner of Angel’s Trucks Repair Inc.
