Help Andrei M. Buckareff in Paraguay

My father, Andrei M. Buckareff (74 years old), a relief worker and Christian missionary who has touched many lives, is in critical condition in the intensive care unit of El Centro Medico Bautista in Ascuncíon, Paraguay where he was admitted because of internal bleeding. Our family desperately needs your help in defraying the cost of his medical care (approximately $2000 (USD) per day). My father’s U.S. medical insurance is not accepted in Paraguay. Immediate family members have depleted their savings to cover his medical care.
Hospitals in Paraguay require at least partial payment for each day in the hospital and each treatment/medication up front. My father faces imminent eviction from the hospital and the possibility of a painful death if we are not able to pay for his ongoing treatment. His case is not a lost cause. With your financial help, my father can receive the treatment that he needs to be stabilized so that he can fly to the U.S. for further medical treatment.

Andrei M. Buckareff is 74 years old. His formative years were spent in Paraguay. In the past few years, he became aware of some of the unmet needs among some of Paraguay's most vulnerable denizens. Motivated by both his love of Paraguay, the Paraguayan people, and his Christian commitments, he and his wife, Esther Viera Buckareff, decided to initiate projects with the help of others, advocating on behalf of and doing charitable mission work among some of the most vulnerable populations in the nation. His work has focused especially among the Aché people and children from disadvantaged backgrounds.
