Hi Family, Friends, and Extended Family,

I hope this message finds you in kindness and good health. Today, I'm reaching out with both a heavy heart and a hopeful spirit. My family and I (Aminah Muhammad) have recently experienced a life-altering event.

The devastating Eaton Fire swept through our beloved neighborhood, burning down my studio and my Godmother's home.

I was just setting roots in LA, having lived here permanently for the last six months. I had just moved into a brand new studio unit next to my god mom’s home that burned in the fire.

For those who know me well, my art and films are more than just a hobby—they are my life's work. Sadly, all my camera equipment and hard drives were consumed by the fire. I was out of town on a work trip at the start of the fires and unfortunately couldn't grab anything.

I am heartbroken over the loss of my hard drives, which were filled with precious memories and raw, unscripted moments yet to be shared with the world. It feels like we are starting from scratch, but your unwavering support gives us the courage to begin again.

I am humbly asking for any support you can offer as me as I navigate these challenging times.

Every gesture, whether it be thoughts, prayers, or contributions. The funds collected will solely be used to cover unexpected expenses thay are not being covered by any other disaster relief aid, insurance, or any other source.
