Alysha Santos is my shop assistant and a valued employee at City Hall Cafe. She’s always cheerful, helpful, and goes above and beyond to make sure our customers feel welcome. This week, Alysha worked extra hours so she could have a little more to spend on Christmas gifts for her family. She was excited to make the holidays special for her loved ones.

Unfortunately, after cashing her paycheck, Alysha was caught in rainy, blustery weather. As she was walking, a strong gust of wind took her money and blew it away. Despite her best efforts, she was only able to recover a small portion. Losing her entire paycheck right before the holidays has been incredibly tough, especially since she only works part time and was counting on that money for Christmas shopping.

If you know Alysha, you know she is a sweet, pleasant young adult with wonderful customer service skills. I can’t imagine having my entire paycheck gone with the wind at this time of year.
