In late 2015, Alli had a traumatic brain event that left her unable to breathe on her own, unable to speak, and without fine motor control. Because of the lack of motor skills and near constant tremors on her left side, ASL was not a viable way to communicate.

Since then, she has only been able to communicate via rudimentary hand gestures. But the NeuroNode Trilogy by Control Bionics can change that.
