My name is Michelle and I'm from Florida, USA. I am raising funds for Ahmad ("Hamouda") of Gaza and all funds will be transferred directly to him and used to support his family's basic needs and his mom’s medical costs. Here is his story:
My name is Ahmad, but my friends call me Hamouda. I’m 17-years-old, and I come from Gaza.
In 2013, I lost my father. Since then, life has been a constant struggle for me, my mother, and my two sisters. I’m the only boy in our family, and I carry the weight of protecting and supporting the people I love most.
Before the war, we were doing okay. My mother worked hard at a local restaurant to provide for us. I was passionate about football and played for a local club, dreaming of one day playing in tournaments outside Gaza. My older sister was studying to become a doctor—her dream was to help others. We had a home we were proud of, and although life wasn’t easy, we had hope.
But everything changed when the war began.
Our home was completely destroyed, and we were forced to flee with nothing. Now we live in a small tent, exposed to the elements and struggling to meet our most basic needs—shelter, food, clean water, and safety.
My mother’s health has worsened. She suffers from high blood pressure and seizures, and without regular access to medicine or care, every day is dangerous for her. She can no longer work. We have no stable income, no security, and no sense of when this nightmare will end.
Despite everything, I still believe in the goodness of people. I still believe in dreams. That’s why I’m sharing my story with you today—because we need help.
If you can donate, your support will go directly toward helping my family access food and clean water and pay for my mother’s medications. Even the smallest donation makes a huge difference. And if you can’t give, sharing this message could still change our lives.
Please stand with me. Please help us to survive and rebuild our lives —and give my family the chance to dream again.
With all my heart,
Ahmad
