Help after near fatal pedestrian accident
Donation protected
My uncle, Luis Eduardo Grajales, of Copiague, NY, was struck by a vehicle crossing the street on vacation with his wife in England. The emergency personnel that arrived on the scene believed he would pass away before reaching the hospital. He suffered a severe brain injury, broke several bones, and sustained numerous internal injuries. He was brought to a hospital in London, where he received multiple surgeries and medical treatments to help save his life. However, he still has a long road ahead of him. He is in critical condition, and the extent of the brain injury remains unknown. My uncle defied all expectations of those who encountered him after the accident by surviving thus far. We hope he will continue to recover, but he will stay in London until the foreseeable future because he is too medically fragile to fly home. When the time comes, he will need to be flown in an air ambulance to bring him to a US hospital, estimated to be at least $50,000. In the meantime, my aunt has been traveling back and forth from London to their home in Copiague, NY, which is very financially stressful. My uncle was retired, and my aunt was due to start a new job after they returned from their trip abroad. Any amount that you can donate to this family is greatly appreciated. We are incredibly grateful for your generosity and well wishes.
