Help Abdul energize to complete his passion!
Donazione protetta
Hello, I am writing this story and sending this request on behalf of my friend, Abdul Elnajdi. Abdul has been a dear friend of mine for over six years now and most of you either know him or have heard me speak of him.
Abdul is from a small town in Libya and came to the United States to study. He has completed his courses in the English language, here in Denver, a Masters in Astrochemistry at Florida Tech, and is now studying his PhD in Environmental Geology at Ball State University.
I have had the honor of him living with me twice now, once for a year in his English studies and the second time while waiting for his PhD assignment. He has become family to me in more ways than I have time to mention. In short, he is one of the kindest, hardworking and caring souls I know. His passion is to complete his PhD and return to his country to give back his knowledge and passion in all that he has learned here in the US, with many amazing ideas of implementation.
In these six years Abdul has been unable to return to Libya to see his large and wonderful family. He has several brothers and sisters and his dear mother. They lost their amazing father several year ago. He is needing financial help to fly back and see his family after too long of an absence. This will not only be a gift for his mother and siblings, as he is tremendously missed, it will afford him the energy to come back to school and finish out his next few years. He is needing to raise around $3000.00 for flights, layovers etc. Abdul has been self- sufficient, financially and otherwise throughout the six years and I know this request is not easy for him. I however also know how much this will mean to the success of his completion of studies and his peace of mind and heart. So, I am asking on his behalf for whatever donation is available from all of you who support Education, Diversity and Family.
With care, Therese
