Help Passionate Student Attend New York Times Summer Academy

I am a freshman in high school who is passionate about journalism, global affairs, and doing good in the world. With so much going on around us all the time, I am constantly asking questions and seeking answers with a desire to better understand the world around me and to help improve people's lives. Ever since I was a young child, I have been fascinated by writing, speaking, and questioning for the greater good. In addition, as a young woman, I think it is important to advocate for what you believe in, for yourself, and help make positive change in community and society.

I am honored to be accepted to the New York Times Summer Academy - a one of a kind program that will enable me to spend 2 weeks this summer in New York, studying under professional journalists and enable me to not only gain exposure to this profession, but ask questions and learn.

I am raising funds to help support my participation in this exceptional program, so that it can help me work towards making my mark in the world through journalism, policy, and writing.
