❤️Newly Arrived Ukrainian family Vera, Paul & Dasha ❤️
Dear friends of Ukraine & local neighbors: Please help me welcome Vera, Pavlo (Paul) and their daughter Dasha to Aliso Viejo. They fled their city of Mykolaiv near the Black Sea on the first day Russia started bombing Ukraine. The apartment complex next to theirs was hit at 5am but Paul still went to work at the local gas company and when the second bomb blew up 300 meters away from him, they knew it was time to flee for safety with just the clothes on their back and left everything behind. Please help them start their new life in American by donating money for household goods and living expenses as they wait for their work permits to get processed, which currently takes 6-9 months.
In Ukraine, Vera was a home economics teacher for 18 years. Paul worked for the local gas company as a mechanic. Dasha is an excellent student & competitive ballroom dancer.
*a little about me* I have lived in Aliso Viejo for 11 years. I met this family at a picnic welcoming new Ukrainian arrivals in OC. After WWII, kind American strangers sponsored my Ukrainian grandparents and this is my opportunity to “pass it forward” and help a family like someone helped mine all those years ago.
