Help a local veteran who just lost his home

On February 17th my 71 year old father's whole world was shaken. Both literally and figuratively when the propane tank for his water heater in his barn loft apartment exploded. By the grace of God he managed to make it out suffering only some hearing loss and singed hair. He did however lose everything that he had. Unfortunately this Includes his best little companion his manx Tristina. He has had a really hard go over the last few years battling a brain tumor that treatment hasn't worked on. He was also recently told he had an aneurysm on the main artery to his heart. Two weeks ago he suffered a cardiac event and again by the grace of God happened to be at the hospital for a follow up appt and was treated in time. Two days before he lost his home he'd undergone having his lung biopsied and yet again by the grace of God it was not cancer. He is so undeserving of all of the struggles he is currently facing. He is an amazing man who has single handed raised me from the time I was six years old when my mother and his soulmate suddenly passed away. He is a vet who served our Great country from 73-78 in Giessen Germany. During that time he also helped to find and bring to justice a very nasty serial killer by the name of David Maust who's main victims were young boys. Decades later he helped to bring that case full circle when Maust had somehow managed to complete his rampage here in the States and was caught yet again. My father has been a life long resident of our community and has built and modified many of the homes you see everyday. He even single handedly built the barn and loft apartment that he has just lost. He is an amazing man who has helped more than he has ever taken. This is not a situation he thought he would ever be in and it is with a heavy heart that he is having to come to our local community to ask for help. He is retired and living off of a small social security check. I am a single low income mom and am doing everything I can to help him but I simply can't do much. He unfortunately did not have insurance and for now he is sleeping on our very uncomfortable sofa. Unfortunately without an add on my house is just too small to accommodate all of us. I am still however searching for a small bed to replace My sofa so he can be comfortable until other living arrangements are made. My father needs some financial help to either modify our storage building into a small home or to maybe buy a small RV or travel trailer. Any help would be so greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time and we pray you have a blessed day!
Video of the fire and the total destruction it left is on my Facebook page Amber Arrowood. Couldn't post them all here
