Help a Future Teacher Overcome Health Challenges

Hello, and thank you for reading my post. My 20 years old currently a student at Liberty University, started to have abdominal pain while at college alone in her apartment and was in the hospital for a week. They diagnosed her with ulcerative colitis. After her discharge from the hospital in Virginia, she started to feel sick two days later and was readmitted to the hospital. Her bowel perforated and they needed to remove her large colon. She underwent an emergency surgery, then developed a wound infection and was sent home with an ostomy. It’s has been difficult dealing with all of this. What makes matters even worse is, Liberty University will not give her tuition back for the classes she can not attend in person even though she only attended one day of classes for the semester starting in January 2025. She is home now recovering , dealing with an ileostomy, and an open wound that requires packing is so difficult. She is not allowed to drive, work, or go to school. Her life has been turned upside down. The reason I’m starting a GoFundMe page is so that she will have funds to hopefully take classes in the summer and have money to continue to pay for her car and insurance until she can work again. Her goal is to hopefully recover by the summer so that she can take some online classes in order to continue her degree to become an elementary school teacher. She is in her junior year. Thankyou for considering. I don’t actually want friends and family to give over their money. my hope is that you all can share her story on your social media and or any organizations that you were aware of that would help with her particular situation thank you all.
