Dear Supporters,
Our organization wishes to provide help to families living in extremely difficult conditions and deep poverty. Many of them have no job opportunities, and their only income is a monthly allowance of 50-100 EUR/ months, which is nearly impossible to live on. The families we aim to support live in houses that are falling apart, and they can only heat with firewood — which has become extremely expensive and unaffordable. Some people cut wood illegally from nearby forests, but because this is considered theft, many families end up freezing in their own homes during the winter.
Hungary is currently the poorest country in the European Union, with extremely high inflation.
In many settlements, there are no bathrooms at all, and families must carry water from public wells just to drink, cook, or wash. Children often live in deprivation — their clothes are worn out, their shoes are inadequate, and there is often not enough food to cover daily meals. Many children cannot even attend school because they lack proper shoes and clothing.
This is why we are launching a fundraising campaign to purchase non-perishable food items, as well as clothing, shoes, and essential hygiene products for the children. The lack of hygiene supplies often leads to serious infestations and infections such as lice, worms, and bedbugs.
We kindly ask everyone who is able to contribute any amount they choose to support this important cause.
