Neya is a hardworking single mom, a cancer survivor, and the most dedicated cleaning professional I’ve ever met. Recently, a medical emergency left her unable to work for weeks, and she has now received an eviction notice. Without help, she and her 8-year-old son may lose their home.

Neya came to the U.S. legally, determined to build a better life for her son, who has sickle cell anemia, ADHD, and a language disorder. She’s fought through cancer, and now faces severe arthritis/ meniscus tear that requires costly injections not covered by insurance. Even in pain and wearing a brace, she works tirelessly to provide for her son — refusing opioid painkillers because she’s determined to stay healthy for him.

Funds raised will go toward covering her overdue rent, basic living expenses while she recovers, and urgent medical costs. Even the smallest donation will help Neya and her son stay in their home while she heals and regains her ability to work. Her greatest fear is losing their home and having nowhere to go with her son. She carries herself with strength every day, but the fear of losing their home — of letting her son down — has brought her to tears more than once.
