Every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and reach their full potential. Yet for many children in Nairobi, poverty makes staying in school a daily challenge.
At Mukuru Shujaa, we believe that no child should be denied a brighter future because of financial hardship or a lack of positive role models. Through our Let Children Thrive Project, we use football as a powerful tool to bring children together, provide a safe and supportive environment, and connect them with trained mentors who help them build confidence, resilience, and essential life skills.
While our community has already mobilized volunteer mentors and delivers an accredited mentorship curriculum, many children are still at risk of dropping out of school because their families cannot afford school fees.
Our goal is to support 200 boys and girls for one year by providing:
- Education support to help them remain in school.
- A football kit (jersey, bib, and football) so they can participate fully in our football and mentorship activities.
The total cost to support one child for one year is US$154:
- US$115 for education support.
- US$39 for a football kit.
Together, we are raising US$30,770 to give 200 children the opportunity to continue their education while benefiting from the mentorship, teamwork, and confidence that sport provides.
Every donation, no matter the amount, brings a child one step closer to staying in school and building a brighter future. If you're unable to donate, sharing this campaign with your network is another meaningful way to help.
Thank you for believing that every child deserves the chance to thrive.
