Heather's Stroke Recovery Needs You

Hello, my name is Nicole Moody. Some of you know me as Jay's sister-in-law. I want to reach out to everyone because on Tuesday, July 15th, Heather and Jay's life changed. Heather and Jay are amazing people who would give the shirt off their back for you, so I'm trying to repay it back for them!!!!

Heather had a stroke at 7:30 AM Tuesday morning. She was rushed to the ER. When I arrived shortly after 8 AM, she was awake and pretty alert with a little bit of confusion. The doctor and I agreed that they give her a "clot buster" drug and for her to have a procedure done to remove the clot in her brain. It was a complete success, and she was out of surgery maybe 2 1/2 hours after initial arrival to the ER, which is pretty quick. There was still some damage done by the clot regardless of how quickly everything was done. She's regained what appears to be most of her function and sensation to her legs, which is outstanding. She's still having trouble with her left arm and slight facial drooping but has already improved from yesterday, and the doctors seemed to be over the moon by this and have been super optimistic about her overall outcome.

With this happening, they have gone down to one income and a long journey of recovery. So, I am asking for everyone to share or donate to help with living expenses and also all the medical debt that's about to start rolling in.

I also ask to keep them in your prayers as this is gonna be a long journey!!!
