Update: so far Two has done remarkably well with her treatments. April was a round of pills every day; May was what they considered a month of waiting and June 1 she started her first round of IV treatments. She is on kennel-rest in an effort not to keep her calm and rested. July her IV treatments resume. For those of you who do not know, in March I found out that Two, my love, ma raison d’être, has heart worms. I’m devastated. I missed one month. One single month. I forgot to give her her preventative tablet, and now she’s facing this painful, difficult journey because of me. I’m carrying so much guilt and heartbreak, and while it’s hard to admit, I’m also in a bind. The treatment plan is long and challenging — and expensive.

Her vet bills will be around $1,200, and her treatment starts this coming Monday March 31. I’ve started a GoFundMe in the hopes of raising enough to cover the costs. If you’re able to help in any way — whether that’s by donating, sharing, or just offering words of support — I can’t tell you how much it would mean to me. And if you can’t, I understand completely.

This isn’t easy to ask for, but I’m doing it for Two. She’s my heart. She’s my everything. I just want to give her the chance to live a happy, healthy life — the life she deserves.
