Heartbeat bears in memory of Jack

We need some help... Its not an easy thing to share with people but we want to give something back and help other parents that are going through the same heartbreak as us and in doing so, doing something in the memory of our son.

We recently lost our beautiful baby boy Jack. Who was born still sleeping on the 16.08.21. I can't even begin to explain the heartbreak, the angry and the emptiness that it leaves you with, there are just no words that come close.

We was able to spend some time with Jack in our room in the hospital called the Forget Me Not Suite. We were given thoughtful packs from other parents that unfortunately had been though the same experience as us. The packs were full with bits and pieces that we could make use of while we were there and was in memory of their babies, Which got us thinking, what could we do that would make a difference to someone else or bring some small comfort to them.

There are a couple of things that are our link to Jack, bees and sunflowers. A couple of weeks after being home I went through lots of shops online looking for things that would link me to Jack, a small comfort, something that would make me feel close to him. While in the search of bees and sunflowers we came across heartbeat bears, where you can record your babys heartbeat. I've heard of them before but never thought about using them for this reason. So I bought a bear and Steve put the recording from our phone to the bear. I can't tell you what a comfort that bear has been. How its made us feel close to our son. So thats what we want to do. We want other parents going through such a traumatic experience to be able to have the same small comfort as us and being able to do this in the memory of Jack would just mean so much to us.

We have been in contact with a company who have very kindly offered us a discount. With the discount each bear is around 10.00 each and we would like to be able to buy as many as possible. We can then give them to the wonderful midwifes who look after people in the Forget Me Not Suite. We do realise that not all parents will be fortunate enough to have their babies heartbeat but for those that do, we hope that this will bring some sort of comfort.

We don't expect people to donate £10 each for a bear although of course that would be amazing but if you could donate what you can we would be eternally grateful and I can ensure you, you will be bringing someone some comfort at a much needed time.
