Hello! My name is Daniel from Canada, and I am running this fundraiser for Hatem and his family sufferring in Gaza City, Gaza.

If you are here and like me, have been moved to action by the endless sufferring we are seeing in Palestine then you are here because you want to help. We can come together to do our part to ensure that Hatem and the 13 people in his family can get the most basic of human needs met, to ensure they can get water to drink, food to eat, and shelter to sleep...

Below is Hatem's story in his own words,

"Before the war, I had a beautiful life. I was a chef, running my own place, proud of my work and the home I had built. But everything changed. I lost my house, my shop, and the life I had worked so hard for. Now, I have nothing.

My siblings — the ones who will benefit from this support — are also suffering deeply. Some have lost their homes. We have 7 young children we can no longer provide for, plus one pregnant woman. My siblings had their education interrupted, and can no longer go to school.

The war didn’t just take away our homes — it took away our stability, our dreams, and our sense of safety. We are now displaced, hungry, and exhausted. Each day is a struggle to find basic necessities like food, clean water, and a safe place to sleep.

We never thought we’d be in a position where we’d have to ask for help, but right now, we are desperate. Anything you can do to support us, to ease this suffering even a little, would mean the world to us.
