hard times due medical

Hi, my name is Meagan. This fundraiser is to help my parents, Stan & Regina Pickard. Anyone who knows them, knows they work extremely hard for what they have, & have hearts of gold. This past year has been extremely hard for my parents medically and so I wanted to start this as a ways of helping them financially through out the next few weeks as it’s going to be very hard for them.

My father, Stanley, has been struggling with diabetes for the past years and due to the severity of this, he was advised by his doctor in 2022 he did not have the clearance to work. They have not heard back about his disability clearance yet, as we all know it’s a very long process for it to be approved. As of April 12th, 2023, my father is unfortunately having half of his foot amputated due to an infection caused by the diabetes.

My mother, Regina, she is a 2 time Cancer survivor. She has been clear of cancer for 12 years now. However, her health has been deteriorating over the past months. As a nurse & a survivor, she knows the signs and knew something was not right. They found a mass on her brain, but it has not yet been determined what this mass is & will be monitored. However, she has been diagnosed with Lung and Bone Cancer. We are unsure as to the severity of this as of yet, however my mother will have to go to part time working due the diagnosis. Things are going to be very hard for them in the coming months with both of their health issues and I want to try and help them anyway I can.
