Haley's Canine CCL Surgery

A few weeks ago, my pup Haley Tipitina was outside playing when I heard a small yelp. She came around the corner holding her left rear leg completely up off the ground. I took her to the vet where she had an x-ray done and was found to have torn her CCL (the dog version of an ACL). The x-ray also showed a torn CCL on her other rear leg.

In addition to resting, pain medication, and supplements, Haley will need double surgery on her rear legs to repair the ligaments. If she does not receive surgery she will develop joint issues and chronic pain.  Haley already has a wonky front leg from an old break that healed improperly (from before I adopted her); she needs to have her other legs in working order.

Haley saw a veterinarian today at the non-profit animal hospital. They verified that she needs CCL repair in both rear legs and we set up the first surgery for Tuesday 7/17. They do one at a time and allow healing between. The surgical estimate for each leg is $2423.23 - $2627.65, for a grand total of $4846.46 - $5254.46 for both.

Any funds raised will go to Haley's vet bills, which will include not just the surgery but medications, aftercare, and follow up appointments.  I have had an extremely difficult year and am currently out of work, and I am not where I would like to be financially.  Haley is the love of my life and I will do anything to get her better. I will be so grateful for any help we receive.
