Gumball the Cat Needs Help for Life-Saving Surgery

We’re reaching out because we need help for our beloved cat, Gumball.

Gumball has always been a fighter. A few months ago he battled painful gum disease and had to undergo major dental surgery. Even so, despite the pain, he kept purring, playing and showing us how much he wanted to live. He made it through that ordeal with incredible strength.

At the same time, we noticed a small sore had developed above his left eye. Due to financial strain, we had to prioritize addressing the dental issues because they were affecting his ability to eat. We hoped we’d have time to save for the eye treatment, but the sore got worse.

It got bigger, and the entire area quickly became extremely infected. The vet suspects skin cancer and stated Gumball urgently needs surgery to remove the damaged tissue, and possibly the entire left eye, to prevent it from spreading further.

The surgery is scheduled for Wednesday, July 16, and we need help to cover the costs. This next surgery and continuing treatment are currently estimated to cost around $2,100. We’ve been quoted $1,100 for the immediate procedure, which includes:

We’ve done everything we can, but we’re at a point where we can’t do this alone.

Gumball hasn’t given up, and neither will we. He just wants to live his life like a happy, normal cat. Letting him suffer isn’t an option. He means the world to us.

Nos estamos comunicando porque necesitamos ayuda para nuestro querido gato, Gumball.

Gumball siempre ha sido un luchador. Hace unos meses, luchó contra una dolorosa enfermedad en las encías y tuvo que someterse a una cirugía dental mayor. Aun así, a pesar del dolor, seguía ronroneando, jugando y demostrándonos cuánto quería vivir. Superó esa prueba con una fuerza increíble.

Pero en ese mismo tiempo, notamos que se le había formado una pequeña llaga encima del ojo izquierdo. Lamentablemente, debido a dificultades económicas, tuvimos que priorizar el tratamiento dental porque le afectaba su capacidad para comer. Esperábamos tener tiempo para ahorrar para el tratamiento del ojo, pero la llaga empeoró.

Creció y toda el área se infectó gravemente. El veterinario ahora sospecha que podría tratarse de cáncer de piel y nos dijo que necesita una cirugía urgente para remover el tejido dañado y, posiblemente, todo el ojo izquierdo para evitar que se siga propagando.

La cirugía está programada para el miércoles 16 de julio, y necesitamos ayuda para poder realizarla. Esta cirugía y el tratamiento posterior están estimados en unos $2,100. Ya recibimos un presupuesto de $1,100 para el procedimiento inmediato, que incluye:

• Biopsia preoperatoria

• Remoción del tejido infectado (posiblemente el ojo completo)

• Suturas y cuidado de la herida postoperatorio

• Medicamentos

Hemos hecho todo lo posible, pero ya llegamos a un punto en el que no podemos hacerlo solos.

Gumball sigue comiendo, limpiándose y buscando cariño; no se ha rendido, y nosotros tampoco lo haremos. Solo quiere vivir su vida como un gato feliz y normal. Dejarlo sufrir no es una opción. Él significa el mundo para nosotros.
