Greta Jolene joined us on August 9th and left us all too soon just four days later. Please read the Caring Bridge attached to learn more about Greta's story.
This is a fundraiser to raise money for a memorial bench and tree dedicated in her name through the Minneapolis Parks and Recreation Board. We're focusing our search for the location of the bench and tree along Minnehaha Parkway or Lake Nokomis which are both areas our family visits often. We want a place that we are able to go and be with her in spirit.
Additionally, the blood transfusions that Elizabeth and Greta received during their stay in the hospital were essential in saving both of their lives. This is why any additional funds we raise, we will donate to the American Red Cross in hopes of paying the gift of blood and life forward. A tangible action you can take is to donate blood in memory of Greta through the American Red Cross as well.
