Dear Loyal Customers, Friends and Families:
I want to start my message today by thanking our loyal customers for the outpouring of support they have shown in the last few weeks during this unprecedented time of uncertainty. My heart is broken as I write and I pray we will all cope with this surreal human disaster.
After two decades of serving delicious, fresh and authentic Mediterranean food in Stamford, in September 2019 Myrna’s Kitchen decided to move its operations to Greenwich and offer a complete dine-in restaurant experience. Unfortunately, today COVID-19 has crucially affected not only our operation, but the entire hospitality industry, shattering and crippling our economy and all businesses throughout the world. Our hearts, thoughts and prayers are with everyone. As citizens of this world, we must remain strong for each other; together we can overcome this vicious virus. #stronger together"
David who was on a cruise ship tour in Japan and is one of the COVID-19 survivors, said the following on YouTube: "Life must go on, life is for living, not for dying. We live every day and we die once. We don’t want to die that once too soon. We must take control!" His quote was inspirational and full of hope, so I am sharing with you today. I am a believer,, and God will help us get through these uncertain times.
Unfortunately, we have found it exceedingly difficult to keep our doors open for takeout, delivery, and curbside pickup. Our staff, their families and our entire operation have been hugely affected. We are a small, family-owned business and can't afford to remain open without our continuous support as we stay positive and dedicated to serve you and our entire community. Respectfully and kindly, we would like to ask everyone in our community--whether our customers, friends, fellow worshipers or families -- to help by donating to Greenwich Flavor by Myrna's on Go Fund Me, as well as to other restaurants and businesses that have started a Go Fund Me page. Your donations will go directly to benefit our employees, their families and our operation so that we can remain open. Our employees have served us since inception and are our family. We can't wait to reopen our dining section --hopefully soon.
