Goshen Trust Mental Health Services

‘a Samoa that understands mental health and is compassionate towards those who experience mental health and being mentally unwell and is supportive of their families and facilitates health and wellbeing’, and mission to ‘provide quality community-based services and advocacy for people experiencing mental illness and their families by working directly and in partnership with other relevant stakeholders’. Goshen’s overarching goals in delivering mental health support services are:

- To increase socialisation.

- To provide the necessary links for people with mental illness to their cultural, spiritual, and family identities.

- To foster community acceptance and understanding for people with mental illness and their families.

- To develop and secure employment, housing and education opportunities for Consumers supported by the services of Goshen Trust.

Goshen provides a 16-bed residential rehabilitation and respite facility located at Vailima that operates 24/7

Goshen is governed by a Board of eight members and our patron is the Former Head of State of Samoa, afioga Tui Atua Tupua Tamasese Efi
