Get Sam to Drama School!

My name is Sam Trotman. I am 19 years old, I live in Dorset on the south coast of England, and right now, I need your help.

From watching the video above, you will be able to see that performing is in my DNA. It is what I have wanted to do since I was 3 years old. 16 years and hundreds of performances later, I have been offered a place at the London School of Musical Theatre, starting this September. This course is the perfect next step for me, and I believe it will help me turn my passion into a profession. However, I cannot afford it alone.

My father is a Church of England minister, and my mother is medically retired, having to leave her job as an NHS Nurse over a decade ago due to muscular myopathy. She struggles to do a lot of things, which means I pick up the slack when it comes to cooking, cleaning, and helping around the house. Whenever I am not onstage, or helping out at home, I work as a part-time Barista, where I earn just enough money to pay for my Youth Theatre training.

I have been incredibly lucky to get where I am today. I owe it all to the people around me. Those who have given their financial and emotional support to keep me on track to achieve my dreams. Most of the clips I use in my video are from BIGLITTLE Theatre School productions-a company that I have been a part of for 10 years. I wouldn't be where I am today without them.

It is a big ask- and not one that I ask lightly by any means- but I am reaching out for your support. I need to raise £10,000 to cover the cost of the course, however, if I can reach the goal of £6000, I will be able to secure my spot in September without the fear of losing my place. All the money raised will go straight toward tuition fees.
