Lungs of Steel: Help George Fight Lung Cancer

Hi, my name is Heidi Bellamente and this fundraising page is to help George Greene and his adorable family fight cancer. George was recently diagnosed with lung cancer (adenocarcinoma), which has metastasized to his liver, pancreas, and spine.

So what happens now? We all help George fight this, that's what. George will start chemo three times a week for at least 3 months and do immunotherapy. Even with health insurance, the cost is steep. In addition, there are additional medical bills and loss of income while George focuses on getting better.

About George: a 43-year old, non-smoker, George is a family man of faith and humor. He's worked in healthcare for over 20 years and has never met a stranger. He's rarely without his amazing wife Jill and kids Wyatt (13) and Juliet (10) who are just as determined as George is to kick this cancer to the curb.

If you're lucky enough to be friends with George and Jill, or Wyatt and Juliet, then you know the unique joy, humor and personality they bring to this world. You know what a tight little family they are and the fervor with which they are going to approach this fight. If you've worked with George, then you know his dedication, humor and professionalism. And heck, in the course of a normal shift, he may have even helped save your life.
