Geena’s Medical Relief Fund

Only weeks after my friend Virginia Lyons who goes by Geena chose to accept a permanent role at a local non-profit at the county education office, the diagnosis of her cancer came and showed that there were malignant masses in multiple locations in her body, the largest being between her lungs. 
So far, the costs that have incurred to her and her parents have totaled over $7,000 already, even with insurance. After the necessary cycles of chemotherapy and radiation, this will be more than doubled plus her being out of work for a while. Geena was healthy, active, and strong and did not foresee this in any way. It happened without cause at a time when so many of us were already struggling to get by due to the pandemic. She is working hard to apply for several grants and work with her insurance. Please donate what you can to alleviate some of the costs of her treatment, so that she can focus on fighting for her health rather than the financial aspect of this illness.
