Hello friends,
As many of you may know, Gerald Dougherty passed away on December 29th, after a shockingly brief battle with pancreatic cancer. The sudden onset of his illness and completely unexpected death have left his family reeling. Gailen and her teenage boys Aedan and Dylan are grateful to be surrounded by family and friends at this immensely difficult time. Unfortunately, hugs and kindnesses aren’t enough to help Gailen untangle the complications that Gerald’s death has left behind. As she has tried to proceed with setting their lives on a “new normal” track, Gailen has discovered unpaid bills, unexpected debts, and unforeseen legal fees blocking her ability to move forward. All these things have to be attended to before she can begin to work again, and provide some measure of security for herself and her boys. If we all come together and give what we can, we can help Gailen manage this most difficult phase, get up to level ground, and move forward. Even a few dollars will alleviate the worry and stress that is layered on top of the family’s grief. Thank you so much for anything you can do, it means the world.
