Getting my sister Alayina home

Donation protected

This is the story of Alayina, my beautiful sister who is living in Zimbabwe. I grew up with her on and off when we where children, when she was living with my mother. Sadly we lost our mother here in the U.K in the year 2000. My late mother's dying wish was that Elly would be taken care of by her family here in the U.K. Not long after burying our mother, family members decided to send Elly back to Zimbabwe on her own at the age of 10. To live with her father whom she did not know well or have a good relationship with. I was living in Malawi at this time as a child myself. So I had no way in helping or was aware of this desicion. Only to discover Elly was not in the U.K when I came over here.

She was only 10 and was sent back on her own and forced to live with her father and stepmother. Elly encountered ongoing abuse and torture for many years through the hands on her father's wife and her relatives. Sadly they took her British documents, passport and all personal items and destroyed them, giving Elly no sense of identity, security, or future.

Elly managed to escape this toxic environment, and did her best to survive the best way she could, with the remarkable strength and hope she holds.

She has suffered severe depression, abuse and neglect. This severe trauma had impacted pressure on her heart and body, where she had to undergo heart surgery very recently.

Elly has 3 beautiful children, currently living in the village. She has no relatives to support her in Zimbabwe. Despite all her relatives living here in the U.K , I am now at an age and better position to try my best to get my sister back home. It was my late mother's dying wish that Elly would be here, safe in the U.K with her family. I am her family. Elly is my sister. And I will not rest until Elly is home or she is at least in a secure and safe environment in Zimbabwe. I need your help in making this happen.

The first step is getting Elly and the children's documents and passports. In hope that I will then travel to Zimbabwe myself and help her get everything sorted through the British Embassy in Zimbabwe. The process will take time, with patience and hope that Elly will hopefully be able to come back to the U.K with her children in the near future.

While this process is in motion I would want to make sure Elly is safe and has everything she needs until then. I will travel to Zimbabwe and help her secure her living arrangements, get the children clothes, items for school, and anything Elly needs to run the home for her and the children to survive and be safe. She wants to start her own business but without a passport its impossible. I also wanted to visit my nieces school/local refuge to hand out health/care bags, books and stationery.

I am an Artist so I will be selling my paintings to contribute as much funds on top of this to help my sister and her children. I have to do this for my late mother. I have to do this for Elly. For the children. With your help and support, this will change her and her 3 kids life in mamy ways. What ever you can donate would be a step closer to this goal, and keep that wish that my late mother wanted all along.

Elly is such a beautiful soul, intelligent and always tries to look at the positives in everything. She inspires me so much. I am happy to finally be in proper contact with her. I am incredibly proud of how far she has come despite the obstacles. She truly needs that break, she needs her family.

Thankyou for your support
