Fundraising for Pete Gibson & family

Donation protected
It is heart-breaking writing this Go-Fund-Me backstory for such a brilliant local lad and dear friend to many; Pete Gibson (Gibbo). Some of you will already be aware; following a short series of headaches and feeling unwell, Pete collapsed in his home in March 2023, he was then admitted to hospital where they ran a series of tests and tragically diagnosed him with a rare brain tumour: Butterfly Glioma; the typical prognosis at such an advanced stage is 3-6 months.

Butterfly Gliomas are high-grade astrocytomas, IDH-Mutant or glioblastomas that cross the mid-line via the corpus callosum. The term buttery refers to the wing-like extensions across the mid-line of the brain. https://www.cancerresearchuk.org/about-cancer/brain-tumours/types/glioma-adults

As his family try to come to terms with the catastrophic news about Pete’s diagnosis; we can only think to come together to try to fundraise to support Pete and his loved ones through the most difficult of times; to provide on-going financial support and for any future expenses.
We appreciate all donations no matter how small; and thank you all for taking time to support and help us raise funds.
