Throughout 2024 BYK Widnes will be supporting the local organisation H.E.A.R.T.S
- H.E.A.R.T.S Theatre School was setup in 2000 and is a small, local not-for-profit community theatre group based at Upton Community Centre.
- It provides opportunities to experience and perform in professional theatres throughout the North-West, London and even Europe.
- The students vary in ages from 3-25 many of whom have disabilities and or special needs that would not be accepted in most other dance schools.
- It relies on fundraising and generosity of local businesses to subsidise fees for young people who have financial restraints.
- The organisation has been nominated by a BYK Widnes employee who alongside his wife, volunteer and provide a lot of help to keep H.E.A.R.T.S supporting so many local young people.
