COVID-19 Fundraiser for Vancouver Food Runners
Donation protected
Vancouver is an extremely expensive city and COVID-19 has intensified the financial struggles that many Vancouverites face. Those of low socioeconomic status have been hit particularly hard by layoffs and a reduction in working hours. As a result of the pandemic, many individuals now need greater assistance feeding themselves and their families.
Vancouver Food Runners (VFR) is a local nonprofit organization that was launched in response to COVID-19. Their mission is to help reduce food insecurity by collecting food destined for the landfill and redistributing it to vulnerable populations. They do so by rescuing viable food from restaurants and grocery stores that would otherwise go to waste, then delivering it to charitable organizations that support at-risk populations in the city. These include children, families, single mothers, refugees, and people living in shelters.
The charitable organizations that VFR supports include:
Atira
Boys & Girls Club
Canuck Place Children's Hospice
City Reach
Covenant House

Please consider giving a small amount in order to help alleviate the pressure and adversity that fellow citizens are currently experiencing. I greatly appreciate your support.
Sincerely,
Jack Clark
