FUEL OUR FRONTLINE WORKERS

Thank YOU for taking the time to read this during this strange and unknowing time.
I am a Registered Nurse. I am currently witnessing the events of COVID-19 unfold, as all healthcare professionals and other frontline workers are searching for answers on how to respond to the health of our loved ones.  

I started to think about how nice it would be to give something extra to those who are at work while everyone else is at home. 

SO, my CURRENT goal here is to provide frontline workers with care packages filled with ESSENTIAL and HEALTHY goodies! To start, I would like to provide 10 different teams in different units or healthcare facilities with a Pure, Safe and Beneficial package that has;
- 20 individually packaged vegan protein pouches (10 chocolate and 10 vanilla)
- 30 naturally derived caffeine fizz sticks 
- 30 antioxidant filled and immune-boosting shots
- A large shea butter hand lotion, essential for replenishing hydration back into dry, overly sanitized hands 

All items in this FUEL OUR FRONTLINE pack are botanically based, vegan certified, gluten free, non-GMO, soy/dairy/whey free, kosher certified, pH correct, and made without artificial sweeteners, dyes or fragrances. Nothing but the best!

I will be using all donations towards purchasing the products and sending them to facilities which I cannot personally deliver to. 
I plan to start by using the initial donations to bring packages to hospitals and grocery stores near me. I will also reach out to fellow nurses who I know in other areas that are working in the hospital setting. I would love to send packages out to any other destinations with frontline workers, so please share your suggestions and ideas.

UPDATE 03/27/2020: Our first TWO "FUEL OUR FRONTLINE" packs have been purchased!
One is being shipped to HAMILTON, ON. A generous donor made the recommendation for a pack to go to the Hamilton General ICU and has kindly agreed to hand deliver it!
The second pack will also be going to a location suggested by one of our generous donors; the SICU at MUHC in MONTREAL, QC.  

Let's continue to share and hopefully receive more donations so we can send out more packs! Again, suggestions regarding where packs should go/are needed are welcome!


UPDATE 04/05/2020: WOW, just wow. A huge thank you to EVERYONE who has both donated and/or shared this campaign. It has already become so much more than I could have ever imagined. As a nurse who recently made the switch from a medical/surgical unit to the ICU of a Covid designated hospital, I want to ensure you all know the impact of your kindness. All the hardworking frontline workers will be so touch by your generosity. So, thank you, endlessly. 
THREE MORE CARE PACKS are being purchased - I will put together these next few packs and bring them to the JEWISH GENERAL HOSPITAL where I am working. JGH in Montreal, QC is seeing a change daily. With more patients being admitted, all staff member are adjusting by the hour. We currently have three FULL units in the hospital dealing with positive patients only. And the expectation is that more units will also have to take on these roles very soon.
These care packs will be incredibly appreciated by the staff who are all working full time hours, despite their positions and going into work daily despite their fears. 

More packs will be purchased in the near future however I want to give some time for others to reach out and suggest locations that they feel passionate about sending a care pack to.

UPDATE 04/10/20: Thanks to all of our donations, we were able to purchase not three but EIGHT MORE CARE PACKS. This will allow us to REACH OUR GOAL OF PROVIDING 10 DIFFERENT GROUPS OF FRONTLINE WORKERS WITH CARE PACKS. It also means that we have the ability to reach ONE THOUSAND frontline workers. What an incredible impact. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to those who donated. I am so happy with what this has become. Please continue to read our future updates

UPDATE 05/06/20: Hi all,
I would like to  update everyone about where our baskets have gone/are going: 
I have previously provided a basket to a Covid designated unit and the ICU at the Jewish General Hospital. The staff were extremely thankful!
I would like to apologize for any delay in my updates.
It came to my attention recently that the hard working staff of the CHSLD's in the Montreal area needed some recognition. So with the help of some other nurses, we have been arranging for of 6 final baskets (pictured in the second photo - all ready to go) will be delivered to a CHSLD that has been greatly effected by the Covid crisis. I am so happy that we are all able to provide them with a token to indicate that we are thinking of them. I will do my very best to get a photo of the care packs being delivered so that I can share that with you.

Thank you again to each and every one of you for making this all possible. This became so much more than what I could of ever imagined and for that I am grateful. I am also so thrilled to say that we completed our goal of TEN BASKETS!!!!!
