Donate to Save Ahmed Family from Gaza's War

My name is Ahmed, I'm 30 years old, and I write to you today with a heavy heart.

I hesitated a lot before writing what I'm writing today. I come from a family that isn't accustomed to asking for help, but rather to helping others as much as possible.

I'm writing today on behalf of my family in the Gaza Strip after they were displaced from their home in northern Gaza, which was destroyed and rendered uninhabitable by this war.

Oh, how strange! We dreamed of a better tomorrow, but all those dreams turned into nightmares.

My family has been living the worst days of their lives ever since, and they are still alive. My family lives under the weight of every kind of suffering and injustice. Our neighbors, some of our friends, and relatives have been killed and martyred in this war, as if my family is waiting for their turn. Most days, they can't sleep because of the terrifying sounds they hear each night, waiting for the sun to rise so this suffering can end, but it continues.

During this period, most of their food is unhealthy.

They've reached the point of eating one meal of unhealthy food, even though this meal is no longer available due to the severe food shortage in Gaza City and the north. In fact, they're eating animal feed. Aren't we human beings who deserve to live?

I'm asking you to help us raise some money to get my family out of the Gaza Strip to Egypt. The cost per person is $5,000, and they need an additional amount to cover their living expenses in Egypt. My family consists of four members.

I am Ahmed, 30 years old.

My wife is Sanaa, 28 years old.

My daughter is Maryam, 8 years old.

My daughter is Malak, 3 years old.

We will secure their safe passage to Egypt across the border as follows:

• Covering travel and evacuation costs from the Gaza Strip to Egypt.

• Providing temporary housing for our family in Egypt.

• Covering initial living expenses for their resettlement in Egypt.

Since getting out of Gaza is the top priority, any additional funds will be used for my family's well-being, including medical care, safety, and stability.

I choke up as I write this, but I promised my family in Gaza that I would do everything I could to help them evacuate to Egypt to save their lives, hoping they can start over and receive treatment for their physical and psychological suffering, especially my family.

My brother, his family, and my father have lost all their sources of income and everything they have saved over many years of hard work. All that remains for them is God's mercy, which we await.

Like many children in Gaza, my brother's children are now without education or healthcare. Incidentally, my nephew, Saad, was studying medicine, and we expected him to have a bright future filled with knowledge and experience.

I humbly ask for your help with what I wrote above. One day, my brother will rise again to rebuild his family and what was destroyed, and we will return what we have collected to help those in need around the world. I am ashamed of myself, but the lives of my family are more precious than my shame.

Any amount, even a small one, will make a huge difference in saving my family's life.
