My name, my name is Sarrah Storey. I’m the Mayor of Fraser Lake.

At 3 AM on February 22, the Fraser Lake Volunteer Fire Department, received a call that the Fraser Lake Supermarket, Fraser Lake Inn, Vape Shop, Cannabis Hut, Restaurant, was on fire, this unfortunately led to multiple businesses being impacted, and burning down.

These volunteers do a lot for our community and protect us in so many ways. As do all first responders in the community.

I would like to do something nice for them to thank them (We have multiple offers of support right now).

Fraser Lake has been going through a lot recently with the mine closure years ago and the sawmill closure. I want to make sure that we can give back to those that give so much to us.

If you’re uncomfortable with using a go fund me, Integris Credit Union, Western Financial and Autumn Services will also have donation options available.

I want to take a moment to say thank you to all of the first responders that showed up from multiple communities as well and to all of you for supporting our community!

We are extremely thankful for the outpouring of love and support for the community.

I would lastly like to say to those impacted, we are sorry, and are here for you if you need support.
