For Mama’s Boys

It is with heavy heart that the family of Molly Stevenson creates this fundraiser for her two boys. In fall 2020, despite all the difficulties posed by the pandemic and after being in the adoption process for seven and a half years, Molly adopted Wadley (now age 11) and Saul (now age 7) from Haiti.

 

Molly had many accomplishments in her life. She was a talented history teacher, having worked at several public and private high schools, most recently at Berkeley Preparatory School in Tampa. In 2012, she was named “Teacher of the Year” for New Hampshire by the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History. Her enthusiasm for history was contagious and her care for her students always apparent.

 

Family came first for Molly. She was a beloved daughter and sister, but her greatest joy was becoming Mama. Her life was changed immeasurably when her boys arrived. They were the light of her life.

 

Molly passed away October 25, 2021, in Tampa, Florida, after a brief illness. Memorial planning is still underway.

 

All funds received will go towards the boys’ expenses, particularly their education, as well as for legal bills regarding their grandmother obtaining guardianship .  We are thankful for your support at this difficult time.
This fund is administered by Molly's mother, Brenda Stevenson, for the benefit of Wadley and Saul.
