Hi, my name is Bryan Gaxiola, and it’s with a broken heart that I share the passing of my older brother, Darin, affectionately known as “Little Darin,” or “Baby Gax.”

On Saturday, September 13, 2025, our family experienced an unimaginable loss. Darin passed away unexpectedly, just nine months after the passing of our father, Darin “Gax,” his hero and best friend. The weight of losing them both in such a short time is something we are still struggling to comprehend.

Darin was a son, a brother, a husband, a father, and a true friend to many. He leaves behind his loving wife Alyssa and their three beautiful daughters: Evelyn (9), Leana (5), and Aurra (4), as well as our incredible mother Gracie , and countless friends and family members who loved him deeply.

Recently, Darin and Alyssa achieved a long held dream..they bought a home together. It was a goal they worked so hard for, and little by little, they had been pouring their time, energy, and love into making it their own. It was their family’s safe place and a symbol of everything they had built together.

The girls had just started their new school year. They were settling in, making new friends, and enjoying the excitement of new experiences. Darin was so proud of them. He was their biggest cheerleader, always there with a smile, a hug, or a funny joke to brighten their day.

Darin wore many hats in life. He was a talented construction worker, learning the trade from our dad and helping to build or remodel homes that will stand for generations. He was also a DJ with an incredible passion for vinyl funk records and an ability to make you smile and groove with the perfect song. But above all else, his most cherished role was being a father. His girls were his world, and his love for them was limitless.

He was the glue of our family... the one who made sure we were always together, always connected. Darin had a way of bringing people in, making them feel loved and valued. He could be anywhere in the world and find something in common with a complete stranger. It didn’t matter who they were, where they came from, or how different their lives looked, Darin could make a friend out of anyone. His soul was beautiful, his heart was strong, and his spirit lifted everyone around him.

Navigating life without him will be incredibly difficult for all of us, but especially for Alyssa and the girls. My heart is shattered for them. My only goal now is to make sure this next chapter is as manageable as possible for them and that they are able to grieve, to heal, and to continue building a life filled with happiness, health, and love, while always remembering and honoring the incredible man Darin was.

We are asking for your help in raising $30,000 to support Alyssa and the girls during this time, covering immediate needs, easing the financial burden, and giving them the space and time they need to move forward without added stress.

If you’re able to donate, no matter the amount, or simply share this with a friend, we would be forever grateful. Your support, your love, and your prayers mean more than words can express.

Thank you for holding our family in your hearts.

With love and gratitude,
Bryan
