Food and medication for street dogs in Georgia

Donation protected

Dog Organization Georgia (D.O.G.) runs a no-kill shelter in Tbilisi, Georgia. This small country, located between Turkey and Russia in the Caucasus region, has upwards of 500,000 stray animals, most of them living in dire conditions, with only a handful of organisations to help them.

At any given time, D.O.G. houses between 40-42 rescued street dogs of all shapes and sizes and from all sorts of backgrounds, in hopes of finding a forever home for each of them.

In addition to meeting the obvious need for shelter, D.O.G. has also helped thousands of other street dogs by performing everything from simple preventative treatments, spay and neuters to more intensive and invasive surgeries that require post-op care.

Run by volunteers, D.O.G. relies heavily on fundraising to cover their basic operating costs and continue saving and rehoming dogs across the country.

Here are a few quick ways that you can help make a difference in the often difficult lives of Georgian street dogs and help support those who care for them:

One month treat supply for training — $5-USD 10
Full vaccinations for one dog — $20
One month of food for a dog — $30
Complete spay procedure for one dog — $70
Complete neuter procedure for one dog — $30
Complete care package for one month (this includes all veterinary needs, training sessions, transport costs where needed and miscellaneous items like leash, collar, and bedding) — $75
