Last year, in October, Foden's competed at the National Brass Band Championships at the Royal Albert Hall in London and were delighted to have won this prestigious competition (a little bit like brass banding's answer to the FA Cup!) for the fourteenth time, making it the second most successful band in the 118-year history of the event.

Part of the prize is a very expensive (c. £20,000 in total) overseas trip to represent England at the European Brass Band Championships in Palanga, Lithuania in April 2020.
