Fletchers Vet Care

Donation protected
Its been a long an arduous journey with Fletch and things still haven't let up.

On the 11/11 Fletch was rushed to the emergency vet after showing signs of having a blockage in his gut, stopped eating and was crying non-stop and had terrible gut pain, you could feel something in the gut too but nothing on X-rays. Spent the night there then returned to the local vets the next morning where he appeared to be doing better after some pain relief, antibiotics and supportive care. This cost $1800

One day later Fletch crashed again and was taken back to the vets, X-rays, bloods and ultrasound  discovered he had peritonitis, a life threatening infection in the gut of a dog, he immediately started 3 different antibiotics to help support his system that was struggling a lot. He spent 2 days at the local vet getting supportive care once again.

Fast forward a couple of days and he is starting to pick up again, back to his wiggly self and went for a walk and was feeling great, got the all clear from the vet to resume normal activities, mum finally got some stress relief as well!

A day later Fletch crashed again, took him in for pain relief as he was struggling to walk again, wasn't eating great and was down right unhappy. Later that night he is again rushed to emergency as he struggles to breathe. Another night of IVs and supportive care at the emergency vets, still no answers as to why he has gone down hill.

He plateaus a bit but doesn't get significantly better he is slow, still struggling to stretch out and isn't comfortable at all. Still on some antibiotics and pain relief but it isn't doing much to help at all.

Moving forward to today and we find a lump near the initial lump that he had in his gut. First vets opinion was that we weren't sure what it was so we went to another vet. They do X-rays, shave him and do an ultrasound and find he has a foreign body, no track as to where it has come from or what it is but it means surgery to remove it. Initial costs for the surgery are $1500 but thats if they don't have to go through the gut and can get it through the ribs.

Mums paid for everything up front so far but she's now getting behind in bills and is really struggling financially, she doesn't want to ask for help but needs to as its all getting too much. $4,150 is already the total before he has surgery tomorrow, add that on top and its well over $5,000. She sold some spare dog gear to help in the beginning but it would be great if you could donate and help with some of the new costs and ongoing costs of recovery after the surgery.

Im sorry to ask for help but anything would be greatly appreciated.
