Support Reggio Emilia's first Female Lacrosse Team!

Who are we?

We are the 35ers! The first women's lacrosse team in Reggio Emilia. Our team is made up of women from all over the world, including the US, South Africa, the Netherlands, Pakistan, and, of course, Italy. Despite our diverse backgrounds and lifestyles, we all share one thing: a passion for lacrosse.

We would like to extend a huge thank you to the Reggio Emilia mens' lacrosse team, who have supported and given us the opportunity to get started on this journey. Without their encouragement, none of this would have been possible.

What is lacrosse, anyway?

Lacrosse is a fast-paced team sport where players use a stick, called a crosse, to pass, catch, and shoot a small rubber ball into the opponent’s goal. It originated from Native American cultures and has since gained popularity worldwide. Excitingly, it has just been officially added to the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles!

Why are we fundraising?

Building a new team from scratch requires various investments. We are already registered to play in the Italian Lacrosse Sixes Championships, proudly representing Reggio Emilia, and are training hard to be at our best.

In addition to the physical training and time we are dedicating, we need to invest in things such as equipment, medical checks, travel, and tournament fees.

We want to keep our dream alive and help the sport grow across Italy. Who knows? With your support, you might even help some of us make it to the Olympics in 2028.

If you live in Reggio Emilia, stay tuned! We’ll be organising an event to bring our community together and raise funds to help us keep pursuing this dream. Our second and third match will be on the 17th November, so any help you can give us in the meantime would be greatly appreciated!

Chi siamo?

Siamo le 35ers! La prima squadra femminile di lacrosse a Reggio Emilia. Il nostro team è composto da donne provenienti da tutto il mondo, inclusi Stati Uniti, Sudafrica, Paesi Bassi, Pakistan e, naturalmente, Italia. Nonostante le nostre diverse origini e stili di vita, condividiamo tutte una cosa: la passione per il lacrosse.

Vogliamo esprimere un enorme grazie alla squadra maschile di lacrosse di Reggio Emilia, che ci ha supportato e ci ha dato l'opportunità di iniziare questo viaggio. Senza il loro incoraggiamento, nulla di tutto ciò sarebbe stato possibile.

Che cos'è il lacrosse, comunque?

Il lacrosse è uno sport di squadra veloce in cui i giocatori usano un bastone, chiamato crosse, per passare, prendere e tirare una piccola palla di gomma nella porta dell'avversario. Ha avuto origine nelle culture dei Nativi Americani ed è diventato popolare in tutto il mondo. Con grande entusiasmo, è stato recentemente aggiunto ufficialmente ai Giochi Olimpici del 2028 a Los Angeles!

Perché stiamo raccogliendo fondi?

Costruire una nuova squadra da zero richiede vari investimenti. Siamo già registrate per partecipare ai Campionati Italiani 'Sixes' di Lacrosse, rappresentando orgogliosamente Reggio Emilia, e ci stiamo allenando duramente per essere al meglio.

Oltre all'allenamento fisico e al tempo che dedichiamo, dobbiamo investire in cose come attrezzature, controlli medici, viaggi e iscrizioni ai tornei.

Vogliamo mantenere vivo il nostro sogno e aiutare questo sport a crescere in tutta Italia. Chissà? Con il vostro supporto, potreste persino aiutarci a portare alcune di noi alle Olimpiadi del 2028. Con abbastanza sostegno, siamo sicure di poter raggiungere qualsiasi obiettivo.

Se vivete a Reggio Emilia, restate sintonizzati! Stiamo organizzando un evento per riunire la nostra comunità e raccogliere fondi per aiutarci a continuare a inseguire questo sogno. Il nostro primo incontro sarà il 27 ottobre, quindi qualsiasi aiuto che possiate offrirci nel frattempo sarà molto apprezzato!
