On March 2, 2019, the unthinkable happened... my mom's house caught on fire resulting in a total loss. My mom, my two uncles, my brother, my niece and my nephew were not injured. As the family stood across the street, consoling one other, all we could think about were the memories we had growing up in that house.

My dad passed away in 2006, and it has been challenging for my mom. The house was eventually paid off, but unfortunately, she did not have insurance. This is a very difficult process and still seems like a bad dream.
